About the Author

Leigh Bardugo is the #1 New York Times bestselling author of Ninth House and the creator of the Grishaverse (now a Netflix original series) which spans the Shadow and Bone trilogy, the Six of Crows duology, the King of Scars duology—and much more. Her short fiction has appeared in multiple anthologies including The Best American Science Fiction and Fantasy. She lives in Los Angeles and is an associate fellow of Pauli Murray College at Yale University.


Dani Pendergast is a freelance illustrator from Parkland, Florida and currently based in Boston, Massachusetts. Dani is interested in exploring deeper truths in their work. The narratives that touch on identity and those of magical places that spark a feeling of wonder are among their favorites.

  • Do you ship to my country and how much is it?

    Yes, we can ship to almost every country! There are a few exceptions, currently, we cannot ship to: Belarus, the Canary Islands, China, El Salvador, Guadalupe, Haiti, Russia, Saudi Arabia and Ukraine. This is because our shipping company is unable to deliver in these countries, sorry!

    You can see a full list of shipping rates for our products here. These shipping costs do NOT include customs and other taxes that may be due within your country. All customs and other taxes are the responsibility of the customer.

    If you are based in the EU, VAT is included in your order. You can see our EU VAT rates here.

    If you are based in Australia, a 10% sales tax will be added to your order at checkout. 

    If you are based in the US and Canada, your monthly Illumicrate and Afterlight subscription ships from our US warehouse. You can see a list of those shipping rates here.

  • Will you be restocking any of your special edition boxes?

    All our Illumicrate Editions, Collections and Archives boxes are sold as one-off boxes, which means once they're sold out they won't be restocked in the future. 

    While we don't regularly sell individual items, very occasionally we do have sales of full boxes or individual items we have left over after replacements and damages. These sales are usually announced on our social media so keep your eyes peeled!

    Sometimes we have reprinted book sets such as the Roots of Chaos set, however it is very rare that we do this. We also cannot guarantee any reprinted sets will be signed. As with all of our products, any reprints will be announced on social media and the news section of our website.

  • What is a presale and how does it work?

    Presales are early access sales held before a product goes to general sale. These sales are exclusively for those who meet the eligibility criteria, and the listing will be password protected. 

    The week before the sale, those eligible will be emailed instructions about the presale including the date and time of the sale.

    On the day of presale, those eligible will be emailed the password and a link to order. These emails go out in batches and some email servers may take longer to receive the email than others. Please wait until the time listed on the presale information email before getting in touch to say you do not have the password.

    Please do not share the password with anyone else. Any duplicate purchases or ineligible purchases will be cancelled and refunded before general sale begins. Please do order using the email address you have a subscription under, or have made previous purchases under. If you have issues, please email Customer Support as soon as possible, so we can try and resolve these before presale ends. 

    Presale access is granted at our discretion and can be withdrawn at any time. Please note that if you have recently subscribed, you will not be eligible for any presales currently taking place or starting within the next 48 hours.
